We are not known as the "Nomads"
Who we are is the "Circle of Friends Motorcycle Club", what we are is Nomads. - Brother Tom

The information listed on this website is a general insight into what and who the Circle of Friends MC is about. However there are always answers to questions that may not be listed on this website, therefore contacting the club via email or in person would be the preferred method. Please use the email addresses on the "contact" page for any questions, comments or inquiries to the club. Thank you.

What The COFMC Is Not About

Over the years we have been asked what type of club the Circle of Friends MC is about. To set the record straight the Circle of Friends MC (COFMC) is not a Clean & Sober club. However we do condone the use of illegal drugs at anytime and the excessive abuse of alcohol while riding. We are not a Military Veteran club though we support our troops 100% and all military vet clubs. We are not a Law Enforcement motorcycle club, nor are any of our members employed in any law enforcement agencies. We are a law abiding club and have nothing to hide or hide from. There are clubs for individuals who seek those environments mentioned and we respect that. That's just not who we are or are about.

What The COFMC Is About

The Circle of Friends MC is a brotherhood & sisterhood of motorcycle riders. Some of us have belonged to other clubs in the past (3-piece, clean & sober, independent, etc.) and some are just learning the club lifestyle. We are exclusively a social motorcycle club and are in no way an outlaw club nor do we have intentions of infringing upon, conflicting, or disrespecting any other clubs or their membership. We are an independent, non-territorial, and neutral club that maintains friends and relations among many clubs and people from all walks of life. We strive to maintain peaceful relations with all we come in contact with. We are a two-piece family club. The mother chapter resides in Fresno, California USA. Our chapter in Cologne, Germany has been retired.

Circle of Friends MC was formed from the ground up and have no affiliations with any other clubs. We do not support other clubs nor do other clubs support us, we stand on our own. We respect those that respect us and show our respect by attending events and runs sponsored by other clubs and organizations.

Circle of Friends MC "Mother Chapter" uses a "Nomads" rocker for one reason,  to show that we are not a territorial club but that we are a nomadic club. We don't hold or claim any ground or place, and respect those clubs who do and we believe in riding free. COFMC is a family club and a members work & family comes first. Even though our work and family come first doesn't mean we think of our club and its members any less. We are proud of our club and club family and will respect and protect them both.

The inspiration of the COFMC was born out of the love of riding motorcycles by the founding President Buzz's father Bud. Bud began riding motorcycles soon after he was discharged from serving in the Army during World War Two. Bud liked and rode many makes of bikes and rode with many types of riders. He passed his love for motorcycles onto his son Buzz who began riding from the age of 12. And from there the rest is history. The Circle of Friends MC was established in 2004. From June 2004 to June 2005 the club was known as the "Circle of Friends Motorcycle Club" of the "Central Valley of California." The club prospected for a one year period before making things official. The club wore T-shirts with the "patch" you see below during the prospecting period.

In June 2005 the club patch was changed to that of todays and the name "Nomads" was added to represent the club as a non-territorial and nomadic club. The different colors in our first club patch are present in our current club patch with the addition of brown. The wings were added and the gender symbols were omitted, although we are currently open to both male & female members alike.

In January 2006 we welcomed our first chapter the "Circle of Friends Germany." The German chapter has been retired as of October 2007. Shit happens! They will always be our brothers & sisters and family. We love you all. Although the COF-Germany chapter was a motorcycle club (family oriented) they did not display an MC or Nomads designation in their patch. This was done out of respect to the wishes of a more traditional and dominate MC club in their area. COF-Germany was officially sanctioned by a well established MC in Europe and upheld the same values, goals and love for riding as there brothers & sisters in the COFMC-Nomads. They are still our brothers & sisters, we don't kick family to the side.
